Curriculum & Instruction
The office of Curriculum and Instruction (C & I) for Billerica Public Schools works with families and school staff to facilitate exceptional learning experiences for all of our students, preschool through high school. With the support of the C & I department, our schools provide a well-rounded education that advances the learning and development of all our students, through a combination of a rigorous standard-based curriculum, high-quality instruction, enrichment opportunities, and interventions and supports. Our academic programming provides students opportunities to develop a wide range of 21st century competencies that they will need beyond their K-12 education.
The following are departments within the C & I department:
- K-12 Humanities
- K-12 STEM
- Visual & Performing Arts
- Health and Wellness
- English Language Learning (ELL)
Our curriculum is designed around the Massachusetts State Frameworks, which sets the standards for each of the content areas. Here you can view the MA Family Guides to State Standards for more information about what students are learning at each grade level.
